Eligibility Criteria

DISABILITY

  • Any Disability as recognized and listed in Rights for Persons with Disabilities Act 2016
  • 40% and above (Benchmark Disability)
    *Disability Certificate required

CITIZENSHIP

  • Indian nationals
    * Self-Attested GovtIssued ID-Aadhar Card required

AGE OF THE APPLICANT

  • 14 years – 40 years as on 1st June of the 2025
    *Self-Attested Birth Certificate/ Govt issued ID Pro

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION OF THE APPLICAN

  • Minimum Class 10/Matriculation or above from affiliated educational institution atended FullTime with a minimum of 45% in any of the preceding examinations
    *Marksheets and Pass Certificate required

Other details and disclosures required for consideration

  • Any Vocational or Skill Development Certificate/diploma course being pursued or completed by the applicant (other than the one pursuing or aspiring to pursue)?
  • Availing any other Government / Private scholarship?
  • Dropped out/ Gaps while pursuing the course?

ECONOMIC BACKGROUND

  • Applicant must belong to a BPL (Below Poverty Line) or Economic Weaker Section (annual family income of less than Rs 8 Lakhs)
    *BPL Card/ Income certificate issued by competent authority of the Government (Circle Office)

Other details and disclosures required for consideration

  • Are both parents employed -Government service /private / business
  • Does the applicant have any source of income via a business/full or part time job/pension/stipend/through inheritance
  • Support from any other scholarship (from any Government / Private source)

  • Number of family members/siblings, member with disability(if)

SCHOLARSHIP SUPPORT APPLICABLE FOR:

Academic & Professional Courses (Up to 3 Years):

  • Undergraduate degree programs
  • Diploma courses in engineering, management, and other professional fields
  • Specialized professional certifications
  • Technical and applied science programs

Higher Secondary, Masters, Diploma Courses etc. (Up to 2 Years)

Vocational Training & Skill Building Courses (6 months to 1 Year):

Applicants must be willing to pursue or be currently pursuing full-time Vocational Training & Skill Building Courses, preferably recognized under Sector Skills and by NCVET (National Council for Vocational Education and Training) in the following categories:

  • Administrative, Accounting & Office Skills: (e.g., Secretarial Practice, Tally)
  • Beauty & Cosmetology: (e.g., Beautician, Basic Cosmetology)
  • Hospitality and Tourism: (e.g., Front Office, Food & Beverages, Housekeeping, Catering, Back-Office)
  • Tailoring & Weaving: (e.g., Sewing Technology, Weaving
  • Electrical & Mechanical: (e.g., Electrician, Mechanical Diesel, Mechanical Electronics, Plumber, Welder)
  • Agriculture & Farming: (e.g., Organic Farming, Horticulture, Sericulture)
  • Computer & Digital Skills: (e.g., DTP, Digital Marketing, Computer Training)
  • Music & Fine Arts
  • Cooking & Baking
  • Retail & Sales
  • Sports & Others

Coaching Courses for Employment Oriented Exams:

  • Civil Services (UPSC, State PSC)
  • Banking and Financial Services (IBPS, SBI, etc.)
  • Railway Recruitment Board exams
  • Staff Selection Commission (SSC) exams
  • Other competitive examinations
